01 / YOUR VEHICLE
Take a clear photo of the VIN on your door placard or dashboard. We’ll read the VIN and look up the year, make, model, engine and trim where available. You can also type everything yourself.
Photograph only the vehicle details. Keep names, addresses and payment details out of the picture. One photo at a time, up to 12 MB.
We only suggest details we can recognise. Existing entries are kept. Always check against your vehicle or document.
Reading a photo with a VIN or selecting “Look up vehicle” sends only the VIN to NHTSA’s public vehicle database. Your photo and contact details are not sent. Lookups may not include every engine or trim option.
